Product Description

MACSBOOST Pump Wedge for the Honda Aquatrax R12 and R12X watercraft (all years), and now the F15X! The wedge raises the bow to reduce wetted surface area for improved speeds and drier ride. The wedge better utilizes the stock lever trim as when released the craft is better suited for top end and drier riding, but when dropped, the craft carves razor sharp turns as always. The two seater handles significantly more nimble at high speed, and calls for increased rider input into the drop trim for more excitement through chop. With this modification you are reducing drag all at all speeds. Less drag means better fuel mileage. the increase is proportional to the speed gain, up to 5% at cruising speeds!

On a totally stock factory fresh R12X, the wedge results in a 2mph peak speed gain. When used in conjunction with the MACSBOOST module, peak speeds in excess of 65mph GPS are possible! The wedge makes a dramatic handling and speed difference. A full stage II kit brings the 68mph mark within reach.

The wedge is precision machined of billet 6061 aluminum, then anodized black for corrosion resistance and ultimate durability. 100% made in the USA! Its shape efficiently redirects water to an angled stock nozzle for better performance. After many hours of testing on the MACSBOOST R12X, we settled on the optimum angle, and what we offer is our result! Longer stainless steel mounting hardware is included. The wedge bolts between the stock nozzle and pump and requires no permanent modification. (does not fit 05+ F non turbo craft)


Although it will bolt up, this modification is not recommend for the F12X. The F series nozzle already has some wedge built into the steering nozzle. (not the most efficient way to accomplish the angle change) However, If you retrofit a nozzle from an R to an F, then this modification is a must!



Remove the steering and trim cables first. Remove the four stock venturi bolts. Slip the wedge between the venturi and pump. This can be done without removing the reverse bucket. The thin side goes to the top. Torque to 16ft lbs. The shorter bolts go to the top.


The trim rod will need to be adjusted such that when the hand lever is released, the nozzle is allowed to go up to the full up position. The steering rod must be adjusted as well. Typically adjustment is needed on both ends to ensure that the steering nozzle is straight when the bars are straight. YOU MUST KEEP AT LEAST 10 full turns of the ball heim on the steering cable (8mm) at both ends. Perform this modification at your own risk.
